1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of TokTravel. "We", "us" and "our" mean the trader named above. "You" means the person using TokTravel.
Please read these terms before creating an account. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Accepting these terms is not consent to optional data collection.
Declining optional reporting does not end this agreement. Where a particular feature needs your permission, declining it may make that feature unavailable, but never blocks unrelated features.
These terms do not remove any rights you have under mandatory consumer or data-protection law.
2. What TokTravel does
TokTravel helps you turn supported public travel links into place suggestions, save and organise places, create trips, arrange stops into days, and view maps or open directions in a maps app. It also shows opening hours and reviews where available, and offers the Kuki AI assistant. Menus are shown for few places.
TokTravel is a planning tool, not a travel agent, tour operator, transport service, emergency service or booking provider. A saved place, proposed itinerary or directions link is not a reservation, ticket, guarantee of entry or confirmation that a route is safe or accessible.
TokTravel is free to use. There is no limit on saving places or planning trips. To keep costs under control there are daily safety limits (for example 20 new place look-ups and 40 Kuki messages per person per day), and link reading, Kuki, place search and photos can pause for the rest of a day if the service reaches its daily budget. Some features depend on third-party services. We will not charge you for anything without first explaining the price and terms and getting your agreement to the purchase.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use TokTravel.
Sign in with your own Apple account or Google account. Keep that account and your device secure, and tell us if you suspect someone else has used your account. You are responsible for your own use of the service, but not for actions taken by someone who accessed your account without your permission.
4. Your right to withdraw within 14 days
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days start on the day you create your account.
How to withdraw. Do either of the following before the 14 days end:
- delete your account in the app (this counts as withdrawal); or
- tell us clearly that you withdraw, by email to info@toktravel.app or by post to the address in "About us". You can use the model withdrawal form in the appendix, but you do not have to.
It is enough to send your message before the 14 days end.
What happens next. You owe nothing and we have nothing to refund. We end the contract, delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy, and stop using any content you created in TokTravel. Before you withdraw, you can export your data in the app; if you withdraw by email, you can ask us for a copy of your content and we will send it free of charge.
After the 14 days, you can still stop using TokTravel and delete your account at any time (section 15).
5. Links, content and permissions
Your contributions may include submitted links, notes, lists, trip names, plans, preferences and messages to Kuki. You keep any rights you hold in them. Submitting a link does not give you ownership of the linked video, images, text or other third-party material.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to process, store and display your contributions as needed to provide the features you use, and to use service providers for that. If you share a trip, this includes showing it to people who have its link. We do not sell your contributions or use them in advertising.
This permission covers only rights you hold in the content. It does not replace our duties under data-protection law and does not give us rights in other people's material that you cannot grant.
Only submit material you are entitled to use in this way. Public availability does not mean a video or image is free of copyright, privacy restrictions or platform rules.
When content is deleted, our permission to use it ends, subject to the deletion timings in the Privacy Policy. When the contract ends, we no longer use content you created in TokTravel. Copies that other people made from a share link are outside our control.
6. Content rules
These rules apply to everything you put into TokTravel, including notes, trip names, lists, links you submit and messages to Kuki, and especially to trips you share.
Not allowed:
- illegal content, including content that infringes copyright or other rights;
- content that harasses, threatens or incites hatred or violence against anyone;
- other people's personal information without a lawful reason, such as their address or private contact details;
- sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits anyone;
- fraud, scams or malicious links;
- attempts to access other users' accounts or private information, introduce malicious code, evade usage limits or overload the service; and
- copying or commercially exploiting our software, branding or service without permission.
Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here prohibits lawful security research, reporting a vulnerability, or using a statutory right.
How we review content. We do not check content before it is saved. We review content when someone reports it (section 7) or when we become aware of a possible breach. A person reviews every report; we do not use automated tools to decide on content.
What can happen. If content breaks these rules or the law, we may, in proportion to the problem: remove the content or turn off a trip's share link; temporarily suspend your account; or, for serious or repeated breaches, end your account. We consider your rights and interests, including your freedom of expression, when deciding.
7. Reporting illegal content
Anyone can report content in TokTravel they believe is illegal, including a shared trip, by emailing info@toktravel.app.
A report should include:
- why you believe the content is illegal;
- where it is — for example the share link, or a description precise enough for us to find it;
- your name and email address (not needed if you are reporting child sexual abuse material); and
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.
What we do. We confirm by email that we received your report. We review it carefully, objectively and without undue delay, and we tell you our decision and how you can challenge it.
To report a vulnerability or another rights issue, use the same address and give enough detail for us to investigate. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal data.
8. When we restrict content or an account
If we remove your content, turn off a share link, or suspend or end your account, we email you a statement of reasons at the address linked to your account. It explains:
- what we did, and how long it lasts;
- the facts and circumstances behind the decision, including whether it followed a report;
- the legal ground or the rule in section 6 that the decision is based on; and
- how you can challenge it.
We may leave out details only where giving them would break the law or compromise security.
Challenging a decision. Reply to that email or write to info@toktravel.app. We review your challenge and tell you the outcome. You can also use the out-of-court route and the courts described in section 18.
9. Points of contact
For authorities (the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services and national authorities, under Article 11 of the Digital Services Act) and for users (Article 12): info@toktravel.app.
You can write to us in English or Finnish.
10. Extraction, AI and travel information
To identify places from a link, TokTravel reads the video's description, its written caption and, for YouTube links or when the written caption is short, a caption track of the video (automatic captions or the uploader's subtitles). It does not read comments or analyse the video's images. Results may be incomplete, may name the wrong place, or may find nothing.
Kuki and place identification use third-party AI. AI-generated suggestions are not verified facts. Check the place name, address, opening hours, prices, booking requirements and other important details with the business or another reliable source.
Route shapes, distances and travel times depend on the mapping service. A straight-line preview is not a road or walking route. Routes may not reflect closures, accessibility needs, weather, local restrictions or safety conditions. Follow local signs and use your own judgement when travelling.
Nothing in TokTravel is professional legal, medical, financial, immigration or safety advice. These limitations do not excuse us from our obligations under the law.
11. Sharing a trip
Sharing is optional. Anyone who receives a trip share link can open it and forward it. The shared page shows your trip name, destination, dates and scheduled stops, including their times and locations. Avoid putting sensitive information in shared plans.
You can stop sharing in the app. This turns the link off but cannot retrieve screenshots or other copies already made.
12. Third-party services and booking links
Video platforms, map providers, sign-in services and other external services operate independently. Opening a source link, directions or another website makes information available to that service under its own terms and privacy policy. TokTravel is not endorsed by TikTok, Apple, Google or the businesses shown in the app unless expressly stated.
Booking links. A trip's Book links open Booking.com (stays) and Kiwi.com (flights), and a hotel's page can have a Booking.com button. Any booking you make there is a contract between you and that service, under its own terms; TokTravel is not a party to it. Where a link is an affiliate link, the app labels it "Partner link", and TokTravel may earn a commission if you book. This never changes the price you pay. Booking.com partner links pass through CJ (Commission Junction), the network that runs Booking.com's partner programme.
Third-party data and trademarks remain subject to their owners' rights. We remain responsible for our own legal obligations, including our choice and use of service providers.
13. Software licence and Apple
We and our licensors keep all rights in TokTravel's software, design and branding. You have a personal, non-exclusive right to use TokTravel under these terms while this agreement is in effect.
If you downloaded TokTravel from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end-user licence agreement (EULA) also applies. If Apple's EULA and these terms conflict, these terms prevail for the TokTravel service, except where Apple's EULA must prevail under Apple's requirements for apps distributed on the App Store — in that case Apple's EULA prevails on that point. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the TokTravel service.
14. Quality, changes to the service and support
Legal guarantee. By law, TokTravel must conform to this agreement. If it does not work as described, you have legal remedies: we must bring it into conformity free of charge, and if we cannot or do not, you may be entitled to end the contract. Contact info@toktravel.app with a description of the problem. Continuing to use the app while we fix a problem does not waive these rights.
Changes to the service. We may change TokTravel to fix faults, improve security or usability, keep it compatible, meet legal requirements, or respond to changes in external services. These changes cost you nothing.
If a change has more than a minor negative effect on your use of TokTravel or your access to it, we will email you a reasonable time before it takes effect, explaining the change and your rights. You can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days of receiving the email or of the change taking effect, whichever is later, by deleting your account or emailing us.
15. Ending the agreement
You can stop using TokTravel and delete your account at any time, in the app or by emailing us. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
We can end the service for everyone. If we do, we will email you at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data.
We may restrict or end an individual account under sections 6 and 8. Where an immediate restriction is needed to stop a serious security threat or to comply with the law, we act at once and send the statement of reasons in section 8.
Account deletion follows the Privacy Policy. Ending the agreement does not remove rights or obligations meant to continue, such as protection of intellectual property and the resolution of existing disputes.
16. Responsibility and liability
Each party is responsible for breaching its obligations under the law. We cannot guarantee that every link can be read or that third-party information is accurate, but we do not exclude responsibility the law places on us.
We never exclude or limit our liability for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for any other liability the law does not allow us to exclude. Your mandatory consumer rights always remain available.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for the reasons in section 14, or to make them clearer. We will email you before a change that matters to you takes effect, giving you reasonable time to read it, and show the new effective date.
If you do not accept the change, you can delete your account before it takes effect, at no cost. If a change needs your agreement by law — for example, if we introduce a new charge — we will ask you to agree in the app, and the change will not apply to you until you do. A change to these terms is never, by itself, your consent to new optional uses of your personal data.
A change needed urgently for legal or security reasons may take effect sooner; we will tell you as soon as we can.
18. Governing law and disputes
Finnish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in the courts available to you there.
Please contact info@toktravel.app first so we can try to resolve your complaint. Consumers can also get free advice from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority's Consumer Advisory Services at https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-affairs/ and refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta), an out-of-court dispute-resolution body, at https://www.kuluttajariita.fi/. Consumers elsewhere can contact their local consumer authority or dispute-resolution body.
